What I believe is that it is different for each individual depending on the line of study they intend to seek abroad. Therefore people who study abroad do so in order to have better education and work experience so that they can ensure a safe and secure future for themselves and improve their job perspectives, as overseas education gives the job resume a huge boost. Moreover international education also enhances your cross-cultural communication skills, analytical skills, flexibility, ability to adapt, teamwork skills, independence and self confidence. It also gives people a kind of prestige in their home countries.

Studying abroad also means going away from home and living in a new culture with totally different customs and values. The differences that people experience include different food, inappropriate standards of cleanliness, fear of safety and different bathroom facilities.
